Do I need a VISA?
Your need for a visa depends upon both your home country and the length of time you want to study in the English Language Program.
Students from many countries may study for six months or less without a visa. Can I work while I am a student in your program?
It is extremely unlikely that you can work while studying English in the English Language Program, as the Canadian government does not permit international students to work without a pre-arranged work visa. The Canadian government is currently working to introduce a law that would allow non-degree English students to work and study at the same time. As soon as a policy announcement is made we will be sure post the information on this website.
To obtain a work visa, a Canadian employer must first offer you a job. For more information, please visit Citizenship and Immigration Canada’s “Working Temporarily in Canada” information site: http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/work/index.asp

I have 6 months to study English. What should I do?
There are many paths of study at the English Language Program. We recommend that you think about why you want to study English (for example, to prepare for university or for advancement at work) and then select from the specially-designed courses we offer to find a course that meets your needs.
If you are not confident about your language skills, it is often helpful to start with a course like Comprehensive English (5- or 6-weeks) or Speaking English (3 weeks) or Speaking English Plus (7 weeks) and then continue to a more focused Certificate course such as Academic Preparation i.e. Toefl or FCE (10- or 12-weeks).
You can ask for additional advice by emailing us at: info@worldlifeedu.org

Why hire a tutor?
More students are seeing private tutors in Canada in recent years to provide an academic edge in their education. Parents are turning to private tutors as a cost effective alternative to expensive private schools to enhance their child's education. Tutors can provide remedial support, improve the grades of average students, and help with college or university entrance, or enrichment for gifted students.
T^P |
| |
 |
| |
How will my child benefit from attending your tutorial sessions?
Some of the benefits to a student who has a tutor include:
- Better understanding of class material.
- Better grades in tests and exams
- Higher self esteem and confidence in what students do at school, and in their lives.
- Less stress and anxiety.
- Make learning easier, and fun!
Increased time for extra curricular activities while improving grades.

| |
 |
| |
Who should attend the tutorials?

Our one hour = One and a half hours
T^P |
| |
 |
| |

Isn’t it better to attend one-to-one tutorial sessions?
Research has proven that students study better, and are more motivated when learning happens within a group setting. Our students push themselves to do better in the presence of their peers and remain more engaged in a small group setting rather than and one to one session. However we do have one on one sessions available.
