Phonology:
Pronunciation – Twice a week - 4 hours per week
This option gives learners a good 'technical' basis for improving their pronunciation of Standard British or American English. It will focus on the following aspects of phonology:
- Study of the 'points of articulation' for vowels, diphthongs and consonants
- Work on stressed and unstressed syllables and words in sentences
- Linking words together
- Spelling and pronunciation 'rules'
- Sentence intonation
Chat:
English Conversation - Once a week- 2 hours per week
The English Conversation course is designed for Elementary to advanced English language level participants to help them learn how to organize their thoughts and converse in a more natural way. This course is customized to match your current level of verbal communication skills and business language needs with a focus on authentic and practical conversation.
Academic Writing:
Twice a week- 4 hours per week
Improving your writing skills to contribute to your education and employment- Academic Writing is a course designed to help you acquire the writing skills you will need in your academic career. The course will help you learn to write clearly, persuasively, and correctly. It will also teach you the fundamentals of writing a research paper.
