Dr. Asaf Durakovic was born on May 16, 1940 in Stolac, Bosnia and Herzegovina. He is a Bosnian physician. He is also a poet. Dr. Durakovic was educated at the University of Zagreb in Zagreb, Croatia where he earned both master’s and doctoral degrees. During this time he worked at the Ruđer Bošković Institute. After wards he continued with post- doctoral work at Oxford University before attending McMaster University in Hamiltion, Canada. He worked at the University of Toronto, the University of Washington, and Rochester University.

In addition Aptitude Tests and Learning support programs enhance the academic and professional road to success.
Today World Life EducationCenter (WLEC) is a part of his vision to establish a system for the education of adult and adolescent English language learners that provides high quality language and literacy services for this linguistically and culturally diverse population. The services developed within this organization should support adults learning English, regardless of their language and cultural backgrounds and previous schooling, to accomplish their immediate and long-term educational goals and to make significant and discernible progress toward reaching their full potential in their roles in society
With the achievement of this vision, we hope to be able to move significantly closer to the possibility of enhancing access to education, and providing support to families and people caring for World orphans.
